A Very Bohemian Purple Living Room

So maybe I went a little purple overboard? I still like how the sofa and chairs came out though - that velvety purple texture just looks oh so comfy to cuddle up on with a good book! The original set is by Sims In Paris. You'll need to dash over to Sims In Paris' site to download the meshes, it's living room 3.

Included in my recolor is the sofa, 2 recolors of the wall lamp, 2 recolors of the armchair, both tables, the tray with magazines, plant & flowers(listed as "deco plate"), fireplace recolor and rug.

The Grays....Sofas

Of course when renovating you need new living room furniture. It started out as just some gray sofas & love seats but then I somehow ended up making a few other colors as well. And like the original neutral, beige, the "new neutral" Gray goes great with many other colors as well. I love the sophistication of Cashcraft's Metro Chloe Living Room, which is what I used for my Grays theme.

I wasn't done with sofas - many modern homes have both a living room and a separate family room, and for that, I used one of my all time favorite custom created sofas - the Llando Sectional Sofa by Crystal Sims. Because Crystal Sims has been closed for a long time now, I included the mesh in the download for you.

~ Voodoo ~ Living Room Set

The Voodoo Living Room is a fairly large set. I recolored Vita Sim's Amber Room set for this particular set. I used a mixture of blacks, grays, silver & a dark red marble texture I created. The marble texture I originally created to use for the Vanity Table Top in the bedroom set portion of this set, but I liked the look of it quite a bit and reused it in many pieces for the Voodoo Set.

You'll need Vita Sim's Meshes for the set to work in your game, you can either get it from their site at http://www.vitasims2.com/sims2.htm or from Paysites Must Be Destroyed - HERE. The objects I recolored include the end table, both coffee tables, the tea table, table lamp, wall lamp, ceiling lamp, the secretary, cabinet, bookcase, curbstone, the desk chair, the chair, the love seat, sofa, both lounges, and the mirror. I tried to create a recolor of the desk, however it wouldn't work no matter what I done to it. If ever I get it working, I will upload it.

To put the two lounges together to create a diagonal "fainting sofa" (as pictured above) use the move_objects on, boolprop allow45degreeangleofrotation true and boolprop snapobjectstogrid false cheats. Tomorrow the Bedroom Set portion of the Voodoo Set :)

~ Voodoo ~ Deco

Continuing with the Voodoo themed Set, today I am sharing with you the decorative pillows, rugs, curtains & artwork.

The pillows are recolor's of Jope's Decorative Pillow Set. With permission, I have included her meshes in the RAR file.

The artwork, you'll need Nightlife for them to work in your game, they are recolors of the B Stroke painting. And the rugs are Maxis meshes as well, they are recolors of the Rug De Exuberance (Glamour Life Stuff required) and Patterned Unpredictability rugs (Apartment Life Required).

And the curtains are recolors of Holy Simoly's Simply Elegant Curtains. You'll need their mesh for it to work in your game.
