~ Voodoo ~ Bedroom Set

This is the final part of the completed portion of the Voodoo Set. I have gotten some ideas in my head to add some matching windows and other build items to it as well though. So we'll see.

This bedroom set is a recolor of the beautiful TS3 - TS2 conversion of Vita Sim's"Lavelle Truffle" bedroom set. Thank you to CuriousB for converting it to TS2! You'll need the meshes for my recolors to work in your game. You can get them from The Big Trade off - HERE. The items I've recolored from this set include the bed, deco bedding, end table, curtains and chandelier. There are additional pieces included in the set which are Maxis Meshes - they are the Cornerstone Vanity Table (requires University), Chesterstick Cherry Dresser (base game), su-tov armoire (base game), Hold Me Closer Dresser (Open For Business) & bedding.

A Frozen Little Girl's Room...

What little girl doesn't love Disney's Frozen? My daughter is completely obsessed, so I created this little set just for her. In this set, I made curtains (mesh by Sims In Paris included), 4 rugs (you need H&M Stuff pack), bedding, and a poster(requires Night Life).

Dinosaur Kids Room

My nine year old son LOVES dinosaurs. He knows just about everything about all of them that have been discovered thus far. He knows about many I haven't even heard of, and for him, I made this little bedroom set.

Included in the set is the bedding (bunk bed not included, you can find it at Sassy Sims Blog), a rug(mesh: Do A Little Turn Rug - from H&M Stuff Pack), curtains (mesh from Avalon Sims 2, included), & some art work (requires Seasons - mesh used: A Home For All Seasons Painting).

The bedding doesn't look great on double beds, the pattern is way off center, and no matter what I done, I couldn't figure out how to center it without screwing up the single bed art work. But its really meant for a kids bed anyway, not many kids that I know have double beds :)

The Walking Dead Bedroom Project....

Wasn't planning to have something ready for another few weeks but I started working on building "My House" (and I say that with quotes because its more or less my house, if I had an extra $250,000 lying around to fully renovate to the caliber I'm designing it as in the game) and I asked each of my children what theme they'd like for their bedrooms. My 11 1/2 year old son requested his absolute favorite TV show (and one of my favorites too), The Walking Dead.

There's really no TWD themed custom creations anywhere on the web for The Sims 2 so I got to work. I've come up with a bedding set, some curtains, some rugs, and a few posters that seem appropriate for a pre-teen boys bedroom without going overboard. Now my son still hasn't seen what I made, I've decided to surprise him when he gets home from school this afternoon - so you guys are all getting first peek :)

The hardest part of this set was getting the bedding texture right. Took me two tries but I'm satisfied with the results.

One a double bed the pattern kind of repeats itself but I actually think thats kind of cool in a way so I left it alone.

There's three rugs in total in this set - The walker "Hannah" rug above as well as the "Don't Open, Dead Inside" require the H&M Fashion Stuff Pack and the "The Walking Dead" mat requires Family Fun Stuff.

The Curtain's - you'll need Avalon Sims' 2 Jia Curtain Meshes for these, which I have included in the RAR file.

The Walking Dead poster & the Crossbow Poster require University and the Prints of Terminus & Woodbury require Nightlife. Also included in this set is my black recolors of the Patchwork Desk (Teen Style Stuff) and the Hemnes 3 Drawer Dresser(Ikea Home Stuff). To achieve the look of a triple dresses, use the cheat codes (ctrl+shift+c) "boolprop snapobjectstogrid false" and "move_objects on".

Much and More....

My last update was 2 1/2 weeks ago, I had originally planned to share with you completed objects to start the Game of Thrones: Lannister Theme, but life got in the way, and when that wasn't a problem, I was just too plain lazy to test and take pictures of everything. Yesterday I finally got around to all that, plus several (well, more like a lot more items, considering I made 19+ walls last night)additional items. New Medieval Bedding & Curtain Textures:

A few weeks ago I made a paneled wall and floor and named it "bruised wood" - this really wasn't meant to be a part of the Lannister theme, but I really liked the texture, and when working on getting snap shots of some of the other items I made last night, I realized I needed a few "kitchenie" variations of this paneled set. So I played around till I came up with a half paneled wall, half wall paper - one became two, two became 3, and before I knew it, I made 19 variations of this Medieval paneling + a few of them that have parts A & B. And I'm still not quite done with this set - I have another variation in mind, which I hadn't quite finished yet, so those I'll share with you another time. For now:

In the pictures above you can also see some of the other newbie items. One of those items is a portrait of "The Seven" - that is the Seven Gods/Goddesses or "New Gods/Goddesses" of the Seven Kingdoms. This painting is a recolor of the Rainy Day Painting (I am pretty sure its base game)
