Medallion Ceilings

It took me forever to figure out how to place ceiling tiles correctly, when I finally did, I fell in love with adding decorative ceiling tiles to my Sim's homes. For those of you who haven't figure it out yet, to place them, first make sure the ceiling toggle icon is checked, then click the 45degree angle view to see the ceiling and place your tiles.

I made 4 ceiling tiles using 2 different designs - each design I created two different sizes of tile - 2x2 and 5x5, I couldn't decide which looked best so I included both sizes in the RAR file for you.

An oldie I shared a while back in the Sims 2 Fanatics Community Yahoo Group. My recolor of Sims Design Avenue/Caravan's Louisiana Curtains. These curtains actually match the real curtains I have hanging in my living room.

A little O.T...

This is a bit off topic - nothing important just thought I'd share. I was going through one of my old Flash Drives, came across hundreds of old graphics for children - including printable coloring pages, png graphics to use in digital art, paint shop pro images, etc. None of them I need any longer, my children are either too big now or just not interested anymore in these particular images. But rather then simply delete them forever I uploaded them to my 4shared storage site for anyone who wants them. Dolce Dark - a recolor & add on to Reflex Sim's Dolce Living Room Set

This is a project I've been working on for a while. It started as a simple recolor of the sofas and 1 painting, I set it aside because 1 piece of the set just couldn't be recolored, and I couldn't figure out what the issue was. More than a year later I finally came back to it, decided to completely abandon that 1 seat that was giving me issues and just work with the pieces that do cooperate. At this point I've been working on it again since mid-December, just undecided about whether I done enough for it, is it complete, do I want to make changes, etc....it dawned on me though if I don't declare it "done" its never going to be finished, so today I share what I am (for now at least) calling the finished product of my recolor/add-on of Reflex Sim's Dolce Living Room.

Before I go on, I should remind you that since this is a recolor, you'll need to download the meshes, you can find them on page 8 in category "Living Rooms" at Reflex Sim's Website. There's some additional pieces I've added in, for those you'll simply need the following Sim's EPs & SPs: Mansions & Garden Stuff (stairs), Glamour Life(rug),Free Time (rug), Open for Business (welcome mat/rug), & Nightlife (rug).

The Set includes: 3 recolors of Reflex Sim's Dolce Sofa (pieces 1, 2 & 3), 2 recolors of Reflex Sim's Dolce Painting, 2 recolors of Reflex Sim's Dolce Pillow, 1 recolor of Reflex Sim's Dolce Rug, 5 additional different sized rugs (half court, recherche floor runner, labyrinth floor runner, Gleeful Welcome Mat, & Isotopia), a floor, wall & ceiling tiles, & a staircase (a stair to forget) that matches the floor.

Happy National Dress Up Your Pets Day :)

Happy National Dress Up Your Pets Day! Normally I don't get into these silly days but my kids and I were watching the local news and they had a segment on about it, so I submitted photos of our two dogs and cat.

This is Holly, she's the only pit bull I ever knew who not only tolerates getting dressed up, but actually seems to enjoy it. In this picture my daughter dressed her up in some of her old baby clothes to look like a little princess. On cold days I will often put an old zip up pink hooded sweatshirt on Holly, on those days she gets very excited to put the sweater on.

This is Staci, the sweetest German Shepherd mix you'll ever meet. We often refer to her as "Big Mama" because she seems to "mother" everyone in the house, she even "yells" at the children and her other furry friends when they done something bad lol. Here she's dressed up as an old lady for Halloween. She's not very tolerant of being put in clothes usually, but she was good enough to sit in this outfit long enough to take a picture.

Dexter as Santa - the hardest of the three to photograph in costume, Dexter loves hiding in tiny spaces, play inside bags and smack around the dogs, but he hates being dressed up.

Bits n Bobs....more recolors of some of my favorite Reflex Sims items

So I found some decorative tree branches while browsing the web, I think it might have been on Anthropologie's website, or perhaps it was Zulily or maybe yet another site. Anyway I thought "These will look fabulous in the Sims game" Of course Reflex Sims has already come up with the perfect decorative branches, so I applied my texture to their mesh and came up with these:

While working on my own version of my house Simmed, I wanted a darker modern fireplace, I love the one from Reflex Sim's Art Studio Set, and came up with 2 different dark wood recolors for it, with two different marble inset colors. I've also recolored the fireplace table and the coffee table from the Art Studio Set while I was at it.

Throw Back Wednesday lol....

I don't really do many skins - actually I think this is the only one I've ever done to tell ya the truth. Its an old one I shared in the Sims 2 Fanatics Community YG a while back. There isn't many Sons of Anarchy themed items available for the Sims 2 so my plans were to create a whole bunch of stuff. I never got around to creating a whole bunch of stuff, but I did make a tattooed skin tone for Jax Teller, and a tattooed skin tone for female bikers.

Jax's tattoos also appear in the children's skin tone - it was an error on my part, but I thought it was kind of funny so I left it as is. Little kids love those fake tattoos that wash off in a few days anyway.

Office Set

Happy New Year Everyone! Hope everyone had a fun & safe celebration!! And now that its all over and the kids are back to school, I have some time to share a new set with you. A dark recolor of Reflex Sim's Laretta Office Set.
